How to Insert


  1. Wash your hands before inserting and make sure that the cup is clean and sterilized.
  2. Femina Menstrual cup comes with air holes at the top and you should ensure that they are open.
  3. Fold the cup in half to make it flat and again in half to make a C-Shape fold
  4. Keeping it rolled, guide it up with your fingers high into the vagina and release it to cover your cervix.
  5. To check proper placement, roll and slide your finger around the cervix to feel the round rim of the cup.

How to Remove


  1. Wash your hands with soap and water.
  2. Sit, squat, or stand with one leg raised.
  3. Locate the base of the cup.
  4. Press the walls of the cup inwards to release suction.
  5. Gently pull the cup out with a firm grip and empty it.



  • Cup will not prevent pregnancy.
  • Cup must be removed before intercourse.
  • Cup does not protect against Sexually Transmitted Infection (STIs).
  • If you feel symptoms of general pain, burning, irritation, or inflammation in the genital area, or discomfort during urination, remove cup and contact a physician.
  • Symptoms of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS) include fever, abdominal cramps, back vaginal discharge or pus. and muscle pain.

Critical Care


  • Keep cups away from children and pets.
  • Never use cup for more than 12 hours at a time without washing properly.
  • Never wash your cup with anything that may irritate your vagina if not thoroughly washed off the cup before reinserting.
  • Avoid harsh cleansers like vinegar or bleach and strongly scented or fragranced cleansers that may cause the silicone to deteriorate.
  • Avoid soaking the cup in anything other than water. Silicone is a porous material and can absorb oils or cleansers if exposed for longer periods of time; these substances may irritate your vagina or cause the silicone to deteriorate.
  • The Cup is made of durable silicone that can last up to 5 years with proper care. We recommend replacing your period cup every 2-3 years.
  • You should definitely replace your menstrual cup if it has any tears, holes, or just isn’t in good condition anymore.
